Visiting Anca in Romania

The Romanian Reunion 09 didn't get many attendants. It seems like the more time it passes since our American adventure, the more difficult it becomes to gather everyone in the same location at the same time. This time, we tried to promote a reunion in Romania, so that we could visit our friend Anca over there. For different reasons, most people couldn't come during those days and in the end it was only Miguel and I. So I'm not gonna consider it a Vermont Reunion but a visit we paid Anca. My hope is that this is just a could have been but wasn't, and not the end of our beloved reunions. I still need to meet you every now and then, no matter where.

That being said, I have to admit that Miguel and I had a wonderful time in Romania. Thanks to Anca and her family we were able to move around a lot and visit many beautiful places, like Sibiu, Bran, Brasov, Sighisoara and many more. There was time to relax in the Danube river Delta, in a small town you can only reach by boat. So yeah, that's right, we got the chance to swim in the Black Sea. And of course, there was time for partying. For my, personally, one of the highlights of the trip and one I will always remember was the day we spent at the music festival in Bucharest (Bestfest). The music was awesome, I got to see Franz Ferdinand, which is one of my favorite bands and Miguel and I were teasing every one (in a nice and respectful way of course). Real fun!!!

It was a great trip. I have to thank Anca for making it possible, for being so nice and welcoming and for treating us so well while we were there. Also to her family, they are incredible and most of the things we did and adventures we experienced (little detour in the mountains for example) wouldn't have been a reality without them. THANK YOU!!!!

So, as I said before, I just hope we can manage to organize another reunion (maybe in Spain) to which most of us can attend. I really wanna see you guys!!!!!

Invisible Children

I want to share with you a documentary which s pretty interesting. It was made by students who created a NGO called Invisible Children and in the video is everything explained. My friend Julen already posted it in his Making Poverty History blog, but I wanted to do so as well, so that more people got to know it. If you have one of those lazy hours you don't know what to do, learn about the child soldiers in Uganda.

And if you want to know more, get involved or so, visit the website:
