The end of finals

Last Thursday I had what will probably be the last exam of my academic life. Yeah, that's right, this is my last year of university and I finally finished with finals. I still don't know the results of three of them, but I'm pretty confident I'm going to pass them. And that means I'm done, done forever. Even if things don't go as expected, the worst thing that will happen is that I'll have to redo one or two exams in September.
So now, the only thing left to do is enjoy a wonderful summer. First I get to organize things for San Fermines since I'll have visitors. Laura is coming to experience the most known and amazing festivities in the whole world. And then, without time to rest, Mexico is waiting for us. Speaking of Mexico, Miguelcho called me yesterday and told me he bought his tickets, so he's finally coming with us. Great news!

El que la sigue la consigue

So we have this saying in Spain that goes like: "el que la sigue la consigue", which basically means that if you are persistent and keep fighting for something you want you will finally get it. That's what happened to me today. Yeah, that's right, I got into a new Erasmus Program which gives you the opportunity to go to another European country and do an internship in company over there. It's like the well known by all Erasmus program but you don't go to any University, just to work in a company for six months.
Most of you know that I wanted to go abroad again next fall and that I couldn't find anything (btw, thanks Anca and Paulina for your support and help concerning this issue). But I finally got what I wanted. And it's even better than what I hopped. I mean, it gives me the chance to experience the working world of another country and to get to know a new culture, something always good.
From all this I have learned that when you want something in life it's really important not to give up. The difference between those who do and accomplish lots of things and those who don't is just the attitude and effort. Some blame it on luck and often quit excusing themselves on this factor, saying they are unlucky or that they have bad luck. Well, I'm not gonna refuse the fact that luck plays its role in all this, but you can't just let things in the hands of luck, you have to fight for things. There's always a way, and if it seems there is not, a change of strategy might be needed. Of course there's a lot of harsh moments, and those are the ones in which you have to get on your feet and battle. And it's in these moments when friends and family are the most important support.
OMG!! I didn't expect this post to get so deep and serious. I just wanted to share with all of you my happiness about all this. I still don't know where I'll go. I applied for either Denmark, the Netherlands or Czech Republic. Anyway, you are all invited to come visit me wherever I end up in.
